Ratio of New BEVs to Newly Added DC Fast Charging Ports Reached 110 to 1 in 2022 – Third Highest Ratio Since 2011
The ratio of the number of new BEV units sold in the US to the number of newly-added DC fast charger ports increased to 110 to 1 in 2022, from 81 to 1 in 2021. The increase is due to new BEV sales outpacing the rate of newly added DC fast chargers in the US.
US Reaches Nearly 125,000 Public Level 2 and DC Fast Charging Ports
As of November 30, 2022, there were 124,602 public Level 2 and DC fast charging posts in the US, according to new analysis of Alternative Fuels Data Center (AFDC) data by EVAdoption, LLC.
ChargePoint Dominates US Level 2 Charger Deployment With 50% Market Share
With more than 48,000 public Level 2 ports (chargers) deployed in the US, ChargePoint owns a dominant share of the market accounting for 50.2% of total Level 2 chargers, as of June 15, 2022 according to EVAdoption analysis of data from the Alternative Fuels Data Center (AFDC).
