Parking Lots and Airports Have the Most Level 1 Public EV Chargers in the US
As of December 31, 2021, there were only 1,180 public Level 1 chargers listed in the AFDC database, however, a combined 552 (47%) are located at 291 (25%) pay garages/parking lots and 261 (22%) airports.
Number of Public Level 1, Level 2 and DCFC Locations and Ports in the US
Using the latest (as of August 31) public EV charging data from the Alternative Fuels Data Center, we see that there are now 107,479 public charging ports (Level 1, Level 2, and DC fast charger).
