Ford F-150 Lightning Averaging US Sales of ~2,200 Per Month

With initial deliveries in April 2022, the Ford F-150 Lightning is on pace for roughly 15,000 units sold in the US in 2022. The Lightning, the BEV version of the iconic F-150, averaged 2,242 units the last 3 months (September-November), based on new EVAdoption analysis.

Ford’s E-Transit, the BEV version of the Transit work van, which saw initial deliveries in the US beginning in February, averaged 541 units for the last 3 months. The E-Transit should reach 2022 sales of ~6,400.

By comparison, ICE versions of the F Series of trucks had November sales of approximately 53,107 and the Transit saw sales of 9,691. On a percentage basis of total sales for each model, the F-150 Lightning had 3.7% of F-Series sales in November, and the E-Transit captured 6.3% of total Transit sales. While supply chain issues continue to provide headwinds for OEMs like Ford, the Lightning and E-Transit should reach 5% and 10% of total F-Series and Transit sales respectively in 2023.
