US Grid Renewable vs Non-renewable & EV vs Gas/Hybrid Auto Cumulative Stock

The American Wind Energy Association (AWEA) forecasts that the US grid will reach 51% renewables in 2030 from 19% in 2019. We’ve forecast that the US electric vehicle cumulative stock will reach nearly 8% in 2030 from 0.5% in 2019. Even if our forecast is much lower than what actually happens, it is still clear that the US grid will get greener much quicker than American consumers will adopt EVs.

While a slow rate of EV adoption is disappointing at many levels, the silver lining is that the anti-EV crowd will simply have no basis for their argument that gas vehicles produce fewer emissions than electric vehicles.
